When the iPhone was first about to be released there were millions of Americans waiting for this “machine”.  It has certainly lived up to the hype.  The newest application on the iPhone makes this so-called cell phone a must have, especially around the holiday season.  The gift of an iPhone can bring a tear to a mans eye.

Apple recently released the newest application for the iPhone, NMoble and Trapster.  They are “two mobile applications that provide up-to-date, detailed maps of speed-enforcement zones with live police traps, speed cameras or red-light cameras. After launching, each application pulls up a map pinpointing the locations of speed traps within driving distance. An audio alert will sound as vehicles approach an area tagged as harboring a speed trap.”

Both applications allow users to report what they see on the road. They can report camera-rigged stop and areas with multiple police officers patrolling.  What makes the iPhone so special is that this all can be done from the phone itself.  Then when using the phones GPS, it application warns the user that a speed trap location is approaching.

The iPhone is really paving the path of for the future of all technology.  There applications are free to download and are endless.  They have pointless applications such as iBeer an application that “an application that makes use of the smartphone’s accelerometer and sensors to simulate a frothy pint of ale” and applications such as Pocket First Aid and CPR Guide,”which offers tutorials for treating conditions from snake bites to hypothermia, are both hovering among the ten most popular paid applications.”

So if you’re stuck not knowing what to spend on your loved one, get them what no one can turn down.  Something that will have them saying “I need that phone!”

Mr. President

November 17, 2008

When you are recognized as the “most famous Chicagoan”, over Michael Jordan and Oprah Winfrey — I think you’re one pretty popular guy.

After Senator Barack Obama was elected Tuesday night on November 4th, people all over the United States have been Barack crazy.  So crazy that the Illinois Bureau of Tourism plans to launch a three-day getaway promotion featuring Barack Obama sites.

The November 7 article features President Obama boosting not only our economy but also tourism.  This is what Barack Obama is going to do for the American public.  George Bush has been rediucled for so long now, American’s forgot what it was like to actually be in favor of the President.

From information on restaurants, stores, and other places Obama has been too, the website “Presidential Chicago” even gives some information on U.S. Cellular Field, the home to the Chicago White Sox.  President Obama is easily a different type of man compared to George Bush.  Not only only on his political views but with his entertainment views also.

Welcome Mr. President.
